KEEPING YOU WARM, SAFE & HAPPY
As we say, we want to keep you warm, keep you safe and keep you happy. That's why we're taking extra steps to do everything we can to keep ourselves and you safe.
Understandably through what we do for a living at Diamond Heating Services, the safety of our team, our customer's and their homes is so important. During the coronavirus outbreak, we’re taking extra steps to protect you and our team whenever they visit your home. If you have booked a project in with us and you don't feel comfortable with our engineers visiting your home, simply let us know in advance and we'll make sure we arrange a visit for a time where you feel it is possible for us to come and complete the work. There will be no cancellation fees charged and we'll simply move the project on in our diary for when the time is right. That said, at a time when things are constantly changing, it’s good to know we’ll be there to help with your heating when and if you need us. As a business, both myself (Luke) and my wife (Charlotte) are always reviewing the latest official guidance and updating what we do and how we do it in line with that. We know as an essential business and service provider, we have a duty to ensure the safety of both our customers and our engineers and we’re utilising everything we can – from social distancing to PPE – to keep everyone safe at every appointment. What can you expect when booking work in with us? When you book a project, we’ll ask if anyone in your home is showing Covid-19 symptoms, shielding or vulnerable. If they are, we’ll let our engineer know that they’ll need to take a few extra precautions during their visit. On the day of your appointment, our engineer will call ahead to let you know they’re on their way and to check if anything has changed. Don’t worry if it has – they’ll still be able to continue as planned. They’ll just need to take some extra steps to keep everyone safe. Before entering your home, our engineer will thoroughly wash or sanitise their hands – and at regular intervals during their visit. They’ll also put on disposable or protective gloves depending on the job. They may ask you to stay in a different room to the one they’re working in. But if that’s not possible, they’ll keep at least two metres away from you at all times – and they’ll ask everyone in your home to do the same for them. If your job requires more than one engineer, they’ll only come together for tasks that need two pairs of hands. And if the nature of the job means they’re unable keep two meters apart, they’ll wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout their visit. If you or anyone in your home is shielding, our engineers will take a few extra steps to keep everyone safe – that includes wearing goggles and a respirator mask. And if you’ve told us that anyone in your home has Covid-19 symptoms, they’ll also wear a cover-all suit. Our engineers follow the latest guidance and will:
Where you can, please open any doors and windows to make sure your home is as well-ventilated as possible during our visit. Once we’ve completed the job and you’re happy with the result, our engineer will remove and safely dispose of their gloves – as well as any other disposable PPE equipment they’ve used. 12/15/2020 Making Settle Our Home - A Town We Love...
When it comes to new company's in Settle, we can probably put our hands up and say 'us' and beat most to it. We've recently moved to live in Settle and have a beautiful home just on the River Ribble. Our family is small. There is myself Luke, my amazing wife Charlotte, our young daughter and our lively little dog!
Having lived just down the road in Leeds pretty much all our lives, we've never been a million miles away from the Yorkshire Dales and we used to travel up to visit Settle, Malham Cove and go walking in the Dales hills. Having said we're new to Settle, it doesn't mean we're a brand new company. In fact, Diamond Heating Services has been providing heating and plumbing services for many years; we've built an outstanding 5 star reputation and our customer's let us know how we're doing on Google, as well as Facebook too. We pride ourselves on friendly customer service (after all, you wouldn't have a successful business without them). But above all, we love what we do. As a company who provides an essential aspect of the home in heating (think cold winter nights without it and hot water for the shower in the morning), we must ensure that what we do is done perfectly, on time when we say we will and installed so that it lasts for many, many years.
